Todays challenge is to make a Christmas card & have a critter on it.

This was my favorite challenge.

 I used Stampin Up Christmas paper and ribbon.  My critter is from one of our previous challenge sponsor-Crafty Sentiment Designs.  I love this cow!  I colored him with pencil. 

Here's the inside of my card.  I stamped snow flakes down the side with Recollection Stamp.  Added A digi image in the corner from Nice Crane Designs for my 2nd critter!

Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge 41 10/08/12

Distressed challenge: I distressed the edges f the inside layer.  I used the Wild West stamp set from Mark's Speedy TV.  My paper is from DCWV Haberdash.  Ribbon from Really Reasonalb ribbon.

Chickadee BDay Wishes

Today @ Stamp N Doodle our challenge is Wet Embossing.

My stamped image "Chickadee" can be found @ Stamp N Doodle.

They offer beautiful digi images as well as other items.

I cut my background paper in 3 sections -I love that look. I embossed my sentiment & added a brad to attach to my card.  I colored  my Chick with my aqua painter.  It's easy to layer colors onto your image for a more realistic look.

WAW49 Ephesians 4:32

Happy Wednesday!  

Our verse this week is Ephesians 4:32.  It's talking about how we're to treat each other as children of God.  Be kind, tenderhearted & forgive.  
It brings to my mind how merciful God is to me-a sinner. 
How much better our world would be if we would show others the mercy God has shown us.  Being kind-every day  Tenderhearted-thinking of what others are going thru.  Forgiving-for the quick words that get said in irritation or anger.

I used wall paper for the background paper.  Added some seam binding in taupe.  Layered a circle, round frame cut with my cricut & a Bo Bunny butterfly in the middle.  Simple-but I wanted the focus to be on the scripture.

We are celebrating our Birthday/Anniversary today!  Thank you for joining us.  We have A LOT planned this week.  So are you ready to get going?

My image is from Stitchy Bear Designs.  I colored her with pencils.  The background paper is from Bella Bella.  I've framed her with a spellbinder.  I wanted a present so I wrapped a piece of cardboard with purple seam binding, added tiny butterflies & pearls to jazz it up.  The rick rack is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

MFP Speedy TV Tutorial Time Challenge 18

I've used stamps from 2 of the fine quality stamps available @ MFP

Cracked Up is my background. I stamped with black stazon on top of cherry cobbler paper.

Pointsetta Blooms I stamped, fussy cut & colored with aqua painter. I stamped the sentiment (same stamp set) on crumb cake paper.  

The tutorial was about distressing- my FAVORITE technique!

I used my scissors on the outside of my background paper.  You scrub it (careful not to cut yourself!) Then I sponged some espresso distress ink around the edges.

I cut my circle of "light" and embossed with gold.

I used distress scissors to cut my sentiment out.
