This started life as a tree. LOL

Then became cardboard.

Then became a wall hanging!

 I've used a variety of mediums. acrylic paint, distress ink, fabric paint, modeling paste, rub and buff, colored pencils.  Embellishments: button, twine, raffia, lace.

My image is from UNITY STAMP CO.  Her name is Angie girl and I love her!
I'll be entering Friends with Flair which they host every Friday.
My other main love is Crafting with OWSE
We have a art technique chat every Wednesday night.  I'll be teaching the technique every other week.  It's a great group of women.  I have learned so much!

Sentimental Sundays #152 is doing  Mixed Media this week!!

Negative Space: Wonder

I found an interesting challenge today.  Sentimental Sundays challenge #138 is to decorate a negative space.  I've never tried this before.  It was really fun.

I used a spellbinder to cut the center out. 

I also cut a frame to go around the outside of it.

I put brown behind my negative space and use a pop dot to raise my image.

My  image is Wonder from Mo Digital.

I colored her with Derwent pencils.

My sentiment is from Market Street Stamps.

 I had fun with the inside too.  I used the same spellbinder die to cut the brown. I used white embossing powder to the flowers around the edges.

 The verse says:
If we are ever to enjoy life,
now is the time,
not tomorrow or next year....
Today should always be our most wonderful day!

My frame is my new die from stampin up. I edged it with Cameo Coral. Backed it with a cutout from my cricut. I used wild orchid flowers. and Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Love the outcome!
