Friends with Flair-Christmas Houses

I love their stamps and love sharing my creations with you!
Today I'm sharing a revamped piece of 2x4 board!!

I painted a coat of gesso first, then painted a layer of light color or Deco Art primer.
I cut out some blocks and triangles with my designer paper. Glued them down with gel medium.
I went around the edges of each house with black gesso.
I did some random stamping.  But the MAIN STAMP was in the middle and was a Unity Christmas Stamp.

The cute little girl below is from Inspired Stamps.

Tutorial on applying Word Art Mixed Media Canvas

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday!
It's turned cool here and we're bundled up ready for winter.

This month Altered Pages has partnered with Craft Atttitude.
I've loved using their product.  Today I want to share how to use one of the Altered Pages collage sheets (Paper Roses) and a scripture printed on the Craft Attitude film transparency.

After I had finished taping I the cut the blooms and one leaf from the 2nd printed image to cut and add with dimensionals.
In my finished piece I also used some distress stickles on the edges of the blooms.
My Word Art comes from Word Art Wednesday-you can get FREE Word Art every week!

I hope this inspires you to create a canvas!

Mini Album featuring a New York Trip

I got to make a mini album for a friend as a gift for her friend.  I had the pictures to use!
It was so much more fun to actually have the pictures to put in.
They took a trip to New York.  Have lots of stickers representing New York.
Also used a collage sheet from Altered Pages.
Purchase HERE. You can either purchase digital or cardstock, transparency, etc. Many choices.I used a Teresa Collins paper pad.

Smeared and Smudged Blog Hop

Come join the fun!
I'm hopping with the Smeared and Smudged ladies!

The theme is TRANSPARENCY.

Craft Attitude makes a fabulous product that is a film that you run thru your printer.
You cut it out and glue it face down onto any project.
As you can see-the results are fabulous!

I purchased this wooden ornament after Christmas last year 70% off. I ripped off the holly and primed the star with Deco Art light primer. I covered the top layer of the star with Deco Art Gold Metallic Wax Finish. Glued my film -printed with Altered Pages Angel Voices collage sheet - on top.  Then I stamped in black stazon in each point of the star. I rubbed a little Deco Art gold Metallic Wax to the Wild Orchid Flower and glued it at the top.  I think the ornament turned out ADORABLE!
This is one of the little jewelry boxes you get. Recycled they are transformed into a work of art!
I stamped a Christmas greeting onto tissue paper in the box above and glued right onto the box below the film image. That's a nice way to add a stamped image to something.

I hope you've been inspired to recycle and transform some ordinary items into a spectacular piece to use over and over!!
Have fun going to the different blogs to see what type of TRANSPARENTCY the other bloggers have done!!

Christmas Canister-Recycled with Deco Art

I had a small coffee canister and immediately knew I had to alter it!
Does that happen to you?

I used some new products from Deco Arts.

Their Metallic Wax Finish covered the slick surface of the canister.
See the tutorial at the end of the post.

Want to get in on a challenge with some prizes??
Check it out at Party Time Tuesdays!

**I tried several adhesives in order to glue down embellishments on this wax product. E6000 is the only one that I finally got to work.

Thinking of You - Simon Says Challenge

I'm so loving my Deco Arts supplies!!
I've used their Misters to make my own designer paper.  Then I sprayed the leaves I died cut.
Added them to the paper with a Stampin Up sentiment.

The card below I did a water color look using a stencil.  Then layered up some burlap & leaves.
I hope you'll join Simon Says Stamp this week. I stamped the sentiment.

Unity Stamps Friday with Flair

I LOVE this stamped image that is at Unity Stamps.
I did a watercolor background to go with the image.
It's my favorite technique right now!

I'm entering the Friends With Flair

PaperArtsy Masonite picture with inks and paint

I was inspired by Wanda Hentges project.  I used the Paper Artsy stamp set by Darcy.
After priming my Masonite board with gesso, I used a red and green spray ink. Sprayed over top of them with a green one from Lindy's stamp gang that has that gold shimmer in it.
Then I stamped the vine (with black stazon) around the top and side.
Using a wet brush, I brushed away the ink. Then I took Deco Art paint and filled the leaves in with green.  The vines have slivers that I filled in with white acrylic paint.
Then I stamped the hearts and colored those in with acrylic paint.
Eclectica³ {Darcy} 01 Isn't this an amazing stamp set!!

I totally love how the project turned out!  I hope it will inspire you to create outside the box!
