Cowboy Girl Birthday!

Happy Saturday!
I've designed a custom birthday card.
The request was for a 17 year old girl using cowboy boots.

I hand drew the boot on tan SU cardstock. Ran it thru Big Shot using Sizzix Flourish embossing folder. I inked up one side with SU Bravo Burgundy which created this cool two toned look.

I used Zig Artist Sketching Pen to outline the boot and draw the heel.
Next, I applied Metallic Lustre -Fab Fushia with my finger.
Shiny highlights!

I knew I wanted to show both boots standing up. I designed a Z-Fold.
Started with 10x7 white cardstock. Scored at 2 3/4 and 5 inches.
             Covered with designer paper.
folded and attached the boots with SU dimensionals.

This is did dots using Liquid Pearl White Opal

Then I decorated with Flourish with a Bling pearls and
Wild Orchid flowers.
The sentiments were stamped on tan cardstock and punched the edges with scallop punch.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a terrific weekend!

Die Cuts @ Party Time Tuesday

Today at Party Time Tuesday we're featuring die cuts.
I've used a couple of Stampin Up dies with my Big Shot.

My sentiment is stamped on vellum.
Flowers from Wild Orchid.

I was able to use the label that was punched from the front of the card for the inside!  Love the butterflies on front and back which are from Stamp Up.

You can find inspiration every day over at Party Time Tuesdays.  We have lots of fun and creative designers.  Check them out!!

Trigger Tuesday @ Moxie Fab

The first time I saw this trigger photo I knew I wanted to try the new ombre technique. I love how there are multiple layers of the same color.  I also love the butterfly.

Check it out for yourself at Moxie Fab World: Trigger Tuesday

For the technique inspiration, I referred back to a card Lynn at http://themangoboysandme.blogspot.com/
had done a while back.   She's the BEST at CAS.

The cute little butterflies and the Mother's Day sentiment is from Stampin Up.
I used Tim Holtz Ice Spruce distress ink.
I wanted more details, so I used SU gold smooches around the edges of the butterfly.
I used a fine tip brown pen to outline each one and then highlighted the outside edge with a white Posca pen.

I don't think I've conquered the ombre technique.  I'll keep practicing.
Thanks for stopping by.
