Friends With Flair Unity Challenge

I love Unity Stamps and I like participating in their challenges.  Today is Friends with Flair Friday!
I've made a mixed media tag with Andi Girl.

I have layers of distress ink on the manila folder.  Started with a stencil from my friend Retta.  Called Daisy.  You can find her stencils in her Etsy store -HERE.  She has SVG files and stencils.
I colored Andi Girl with Stampin Up watercolor pencils.  Fussy cut her and added her to my tag.
This is the back of my tag.  Designer paper and the sentiment that goes with Andi.

Unity Stamps are excellent quality & they make a lot of them!  They run deals all the time.  I hope you'll check them out.

Mixed Media on Wood

I did a mixed media project on a wooden plague.  It's a graduation present for my best friend.
She's 50+ and just finished her Master's!!  That's a pretty awesome accomplishment.
She deserved an awesome gift.
I used a stencil by Retta in the corners.  Next added a layer of gesso.  Faber Castel Gelatos came next. Look at those colors!! Retta and I were on Skype at the time and she helped with wonderful suggestions of where to add which color.  (thanks Retta!!)
The butterfly is a Stampin Up stamp that I embossed in white, sponged Tim Holtz distress inks on, then fussy cut it.  The gate and vines are SVG files (from Retta!!) that I cut using my cricut.

Below is a close up of the texture paste thru the stencil.  If your interested in getting some of Retta's stencils, go to Outlaw Women Scrapbook Emporium.  Her cutter files (SVG) can be found at her Etsy store Royal Inspirations by Retta

I'm entering the Eclectic Paperie Challenge. Using stencils.

Vintage Spring Mixed Media Canvas

Did you know you can get FREE vintage images at The Graphic Fairy?
I love and save almost all of them!  She conveniently coming to my BlogLoving every day!!
I've highlighted the sweet girl image on my canvas from The Graphic Fairy.
I did several techniques on the canvas before attaching my embellishments. used several inks and die cuts.
See the doily on top of the vintage girl block?  That was cut from an SVG file from my friend Retta.  You can purchase the SVG file-which makes a mother's day card-has 7 layers-HERE
I dearly love how it turned out.
