His Eye is on the Sparrow

One of challenges this month at OWSE was from Wendy. Needed to incorporate song lyrics on a project.
I just purchased a new stamp set on clearance at Hobby Lobby.  Been wanting a chandelier forever! Love it!

Started with white card stock-sprayed and sponged two different inks.  Stamped with Black Stazon my chandlier and other stamps.  Used some Tim Holtz distress ink around the edges and a little on top to blend everything.  Then took white gel pen and highlighted areas on the flourdelis and chandelier.  Wrapped some taffia around the edge and threaded it thru a vintage button. Attached my lyric (which was stamped separately on tan cardstock) with pop dots.
Love this technique!!

Bingo at Stamp N Doodle

Do you LOVE this image?  The intent concentration of making the perfect marble shot? The wink on the girl's face as she observes.

Our challenge this week at Stamp N Doodle was Bingo!  I love playing Bingo.
Here's the chart we're using:

I colored the image with Derwent pencils.  Tied a bow with Really Reasonable ribbon.  Added the sentiment with stampin up pnches.  I wet embossed "happy thoughts" on the blue paper, dry embossed the white flower layer.  Put a metal embellishment in the middle.

I hope you'll join our challenge this week. You'll be in the running for a free digi!

Have a blessed week!

Love = Quietfire Challenge

I've been following Quietfire Creations for quite a while.  The font on their sentiment stamps is very unique.  They are having a Valentine challenge and a blog hop.

The design team has some really nice inspiration. I hope you'll check them out.

Love is in the Air

This week at Stamp N Doodle we're making love our focus!
It's absolutely my favorite holiday to create for.
The digi image is called Alvin's Romance. I colored it with Derwent pencils. Added some Wild Orchid Flowers and a cricut cut sentiment.
Here's the inside. The stamped sentiment is from my new Close To My Heart valentine's set.

I hope you'll jump over to Stamp N Doodle site and see what the other terrific designers have made.  If you'd like a chance to win your own digi images-link your LOVE project at

An Ode to women challenge

A young model. I started just tracing her, then I did colored pencils, then I added watercolor to her. I'm not great at people, but this...
