DIY broken jewelry to masterpiece!
This is the back. I put a layer of gesso, came back with DecoArt Coffee Bean Suede paint. While the paint was still wet, I scrunched a paper towel and dabbed it all over to create more texture.

Unique Paint Pour
I did a paint pour for my granddaughter.
Her favorite color is blue. That was my inspiration.
I wanted to use this crushed glass I've had for a while in my stash from Stampin Up.
I used some silver alphabet to spell the work Unique.
It takes 24-48 hours for pours to totally dry.
Then I sealed it with a clear top coat.
You can get great colors for paint pouring at Deco Art website found HERE
It's very fun and every piece you do is different.

Sparkle and Shine Girls Decor
I have been creating some decor for a young lady's room.
I have used my Deco Art supplies and lots of rhinestones!!
This 12x12 canvas was made using Mandala stencil and Spiced pink Americana Acrylic paint. I then sealed it with DecoArt Gloss Spray.
This 14x24 canvas was my favorite to do. I painted it solid Milk Chocolate Brown and allowed to dry. Came back with Spiced Pink and White. Did the brush strokes from the center out.
Then out came the Rhinestones!! Oh my! Thankfully I some larger one that helped, although the smaller ones look best in the curves. Glossy accents will guarantee they won't fall off.
I measured and taped off this 16x20 canvas. Did Spiced Pink and Silver. Once dry, I drew the words on first with a white charcoal pencil then traced with Black Marker.
I hope these easy ideas will inspire you to create some of your own. You can get some great inspiration on Google images or Pinterest.

DecoArt stencil/Gelli Plate cards Fairies
These cards are a result of DecoArt Stencils on a Gelli Plate.
You can use regular cardstock. The paint adheres really well and you can use distress inks right over top of it. As you can see-it turned out great! Add some sparkle and shine with glossy accents.
Americana Fairies Stencils

I've added glossy accents to the butterfly and the outlines of her wings and then sprinkled with Glamour Dust.

January Cardinal with DecoArt Premium Acrylics
The Cardinals were spotted in my yard Christmas day! 3 at one time!! That's extremely rare. I was so inspired by their beauty, I wanted to paint one.
I just received my new set of DecoArt Premium Acrylic paints. They have a satin finish. I won't even have to spray the canvas when complete.
The paint is creamy and thick.
The background started with gesso. While it was still wet, I added some watered down Phthalo blue, grey, sienna and white. Allow the background to dry really well before stenciling your letters.
I sketched the cardinal in with a scribe-all pencil. Using Naphtali red, burnt umber, black, white and orange, I painted the bird. I used a DecoArt 3/8 angle brush. The brush strokes have to go in the direction of the feathers so you can get the correct look.

DecoArt new Premium Acrylic Mixed Media Paint Home Project
Recycling and creating something new has always been one of my favorite things to do.
The square "shadow box" I've been saving for quite some time and now have forgotten what came in it. It's part of packaging. The initial C I purchased from Joanne's.
The "shadowbox" had a couple of layers in the bottom. Gesso, white acrylic, dry brushed black, titan buff. I used a small round brush to paint in the lines.
The new Premium Acrylic paint leaves behind a satin finish. Really nice.
The background -which is a recycled 16x20 canvas coated in white gesso, was painted with Americana Deep Burgundy. Once dry, I dry brushed some Titan Buff (Premium acrylic) randomly.
I painted the C in black premium acrylic. Glued it to the bottom right corner of the shadowbox with tacky glue.
I used a whie Posca pen to write my favorite verse around the edges of the shadowbox.
I used Tacky glue and hot glue to adhere the flowers. I like to use both. Hot glue helps it stick instantly, but the tacky glue keeps it in place forever!
Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Painting all Ages with DecoArt
Sunday's Paint Class
I had 3 kids in my Sunday School class that remembered their memory verse the first quarter of 2017. As a reward, they got to paint for free!
We had two designs since we had boys and girls. To my surprise, I have girl softball players!! Had to do some quick freehand-but it worked out!

Everyone had a great time. The littlest one-encouraged the others to ad-lib on their crosses! I love these young talented kids! (the adults did good too!!)

Oopsy Daisy by DecoArt
Happy Monday!
I've been working on spring and summer ideas. The Oopsy Daisy stencil from DecoArt was so fun to use to create this spring canvas!
The stencil is 12x12 and therefore works great on a 12x12 canvas!
I used DecoArt Americana paint.
I gesso'd the canvas first. Then painted a solid coat of Bright Yellow. Then I laid the stencil on, painted the flower and leave section in warm white. That helps cover the yellow before you paint them in with the colors you want to use.
I first painted a base coat of Pink and Lilac.
I used Royal Fushia, Wild Orchid, and Plum for the flowers to shade and add depth.
Sour Apple was the color I used on the leaves.
Once done, I doodled with a white and black Posca pen. Then I splattered "dots" around with watered down warm white and black paint.
The final result is very eye catching! Fun!

Paint Glass with Rebecca Baer Stencils
Happy Wednesday!
I've been playing with my Snow Flurries Stencil from Rebecca Baer.
I used 5.75x5.75 sized stencil. It does come in 3 sizes.
It was hard to get a good picture!
I did two layers. One using a frosted silver and blue enamel glass paint by DecoArt.
As you can see below-I had some trouble with this side. But it didn't matter once I did the 2nd stenciling layer. It was covered right up!
After the first layer was dry, I did a 2nd layer with a stenciling brush.
Here's the finished product! Can be used as a candy dish, or put a lighted candle inside for some sparkling light!
To finish off the top edge, I dabbed frosted silver all the way around.
