Thinking of You Dimensional Card

Had some free time today. Made some Thinking of You cards.

I started by dry embossing the yellow cardstock with a Stampin Up embossing folder.  Then I die cut a butterfly from the center.  Put some designer paper behind the cut out with some dimensionals to pop it up.

Most of the work was done!

I then embellished it with some Really Reasonable green ribbon. If you could see if up close-it has some shimmers in it!! 

The sentiment (Stampin Up) is stamped with black archival ink. Punched with stampin up punches and added with dimensionals to add dimension to the card.

I added some designer paper to the die cut butterfly. Punched the butterflies from a Stampin Up die cut folder and added pearls to the centers.  

I love the feel of this card.  Has a lot of interest in the cut out section show casing the designer paper.

Gelli plate Valentines

I started by making about 10 different backgrounds with my gelli plate and a handful of Americana Acrylic paints. 

I also used the leftover paint on the roller on some die cut tags and hearts.

I have a stash of ribbon, lace, pearl trim, and flowers thanks to Really Reasonable Ribbon and Wild Orchid flowers!!

You can see my DecoArt stencil coming thru on this first card.

 Wish you could see the sparkle on this adorable troll card!! The background was sealed with DecoArt glitter decoupage!

 This last card is a pocket card.  That way the 11 year old girl that gets this can use the tag for a bookmark. .

Christmas Tag /Rebecca Baer Stencil

I know it's October, but it's time to get started on Christmas tags!!! 

Here's my first one for the year!

 I started the base of the tag using my gelli plate and Rebecca Baer's 5.75x5.75 Cascade stencil . I used Naphtali red on top of the stencil, pulled stencil off and let the paint dry. Then added the butterscotch color and pulled the print on the tag.

I used Deco Art Americana acrylic paint-totally awesome for gelli prints!

 I embellished the tag with Wild Orchid flowers, Really Reasonable lace, Unity stamp image and sentiment.

DecoArt Americana Paint is best for Gelli Prints

I love making gelli prints.  I've used a variety of types of paints.  The best I've found is DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paints.  The consistency of the paint is perfect for spreading on the gelli plate. 

 On all the background gelli prints I used DecoArt Jacobean Floral stencil and the following Americana paint: Autumn Red, Antique Rose, Cadmium Yellow, and Moon Yellow. I changed which order I was putting them on the plate.

This first one I embellished with Unity Stamps I'm so Happy and

Ribbon by Really Reasonable Ribbon.

 New Dawn Rooster by Unity Stamps and Wild Orchid Flowers.

 This last card-you can really tell how using numerous gelli prints together is like having matching designer paper!!  Except you created it yourself!

The sentiment is from Unity Stamps, flowers from Wild Orchid and Flourishes.

It;s been a while since I've had time to participate in some challenges. I was blown away by my new Unity Stamps! Been looking forward to making some cards with them.

I used Lost and Found Portobello Road designer paper.  It seemed to match the challenge going on at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.

I added some beautiful Wild Orchid flowers and trim.  Which fits perfectly with the Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge! #144 Summer Flowers

For some added dimension, I added some Liquid Pearls Bisque and Pearl.

I've also followed the Sketch from Mojo Monday challenge. #455 Challenge

Mixed Media Inspirational Card

Thank you for stopping by today.

 I've combined several challenges into this beautiful card.

My jumping off point was Mono Printing with Paper Artsy. 2016 Topic 9.

Gelli Plate backgrounds are my favorite thing to create!

I love layering several stencils with different colors of acrylic paint. If you let each layer dry before adding the next layer-you can get a really nice background.

My next challenge was to use monochromatic colors with Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge #140.

Craft Stamper Magazine is running anything goes! As long as you use a stamp.  I've used one of my new favorites from Our Daily Bread called On Eagles Wings. 

Our Daily Bread challenge is to use flowers. They were incorporated in my gelli plate background using a stencil.

One of my favorite challenges is weekly with Word Art Wednesday.  This week is anything goes.

 I've also used Deco Art Acrylic paint: Ultramarine Blue, Sapphire Blue and Whispering Turquoise.

This card was created with white cardstock and DecoArt Media Fluid Paint and my gelli plate. Gives lots of texture and I love the feel of the paper.

I used a SVG file from Miss Kate's SVG's.

RRR and Mojo Monday Challenge

Grandparents Day is Sunday.  Here are some cards I made for orders.

This first one features Really Reasonable ribbon.  I love this material-it makes into bows really nicely and it's a great width. Their challenge is something with wings and ribbon/trim.

I followed the sketch at Mojo Monday challenge # 414

 I've used Wild Orchid Flowers on all three cards and Heartfelt Creations designer paper.

Fall is almost here! I'll be glad to have cooler temps!

My gelli plate background was created using DecoArt Acrylic paint.

Simon Wednesday Challenge: Anything goes

 I started with my gelli plate.  I used a green and pressed my wood grain embossing folder into it, then added Die for the sentiment layer. Ran the fall color cardstock with a Stampin Up leave die and cut them out. Used Distress ink to highlight the edges and "veins:" Ribbon for the final touches!  I LOVE fall colors and will be sending this to a friend that just gotten home from rehab. An encouraging card for anytime of the year.  The sentiment is FREE from Word Art Wednesday blog.

Let me just say-if you've never gotten ribbon from RRR-you need to!

Very high quality. You get excellent prices.   

 My card today was made for someone that likes leopard print. I didn't have any pattern paper that fit, so I made my own!  Out came my gelli plate!  I used DecoArt supplies-their Media Fluid Acrylics in Titan Buff, Gold Metallic, Paynes Grey and Transparent Red Iron Oxide.  Used their Snake Skin stencil-closest thing I had to "leopard" looking.  I think it turned out pretty reasonable!
Of course, I did several different variations using different colors and different DecoArt products, but liked this one the best.  Added my PRETTY BOW for RRR, some Wild Orchid Flowers and viola'-I beautiful birthday card.

Scleroderma Tags for RRR Challenge #121

I have a friend that has a chronic disease that is very painful.

Scleroderma

Scleroderma (skleer-oh-DUR-muh) is a group of rare diseases that involve the hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues — the fibers that provide the framework and support for your body.

She saw my breast cancer tag and wanted some with the color that represents Scleroderma. That color is teal.  In the photos, the ribbon looks blue-but it's teal.

I had a lot of fun going back and doing some mixed media today!  I've shared some of my process with you.

I started with 4x6 chipboard. I coated it in Deco Art Gesso, then added a layer of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in Cobalt Turquoise Hue. It was a little dark, so using the brayer, I added a coat of Titanium White and then dabbed off with a damp paper towel. Left a nice color and texture.

 Then I got my lace stamp out from Stampin Up and stamped in Black Archival Ink.
Then I used some watered down Americana Light Buttermilk acrylic paint and flicked some on top tapping a paint brush.

 I wasn't done yet!!  I had to use a stencil!  I used Americana Dark Chocolate acrylic paint and lightly applied thru the Burning Rubber stencil from DecoArt's Andy Skinner.

 Then I embellished!!  Teal ribbon, string pearls, a cute digital image of the bear (colored with Stampin up watercolor pencils) I added Glossy accents to the ribbon.  Cut the love with my cricut.  I think that's about it!  I love how they turned out.

Mother's Day with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Really Reasonable Ribbon has an inspiration photo for their challenge.

I was immediately drawn to the vibrant color of the flowers.

I had this beautiful purple ribbon from RRR to use!

The background is a gelli plate creation of mine.  As you know-I'm addicted and make multiples every time I get my gelli plate out!

I always use DecoArt acrylic paint.  There are so many shades to choose from!

 The flowers are from Wild Orchid Flowers.  They have the best mulberry flowers!
The hummingbird is from Doodle Pantry.  I love how it turned out!

I won and Used some of my prizes!!

I love winning new goodies!!

I received two packages today and just had to break into them and make something!

I used Sizzix embossing folder on all the cards below.  I patted Lavendar ink on the top side of the folder and layed my white paper on top. Ran it thru my Big Shot. 

 LOVE the effect it gave. Almost a distressed/chalk look.

Then just add some Really Reasonable Ribbon to jazz it up!

 I used the Bow Easy ribbon maker from RRR. See below. Quick & easy.

 Make flowers with Heartfelt Creations die. Inked the edges with the same lavendar ink, dabbed some yellow distress paint in the center, to finish it-added some spots of bisque liquid pearls.

 Won all the above goodies from Dottie Seubert!  Very generous!  I used the Sizzix Embossing Folder on my cards.

The ribbon pack below I won from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  They carry top of the line ribbon/twine and other products.
