You Hold the Key to My Heart!

What a terrific design by Social Artnetworking designers!!

You Hold the Key to my Heart was a sell out!

A fun and endearing picture to paint.

My class did a fabulous job!

Look closely at the picture below.  One lady added a design element that stole my heart!

Mixed Media Valentine's Tags

Valentine's is my favorite holiday to make art!
That's right-I said art!
These adorable tags are dimensional and I've used several techniques.
The tag itself has Americana Paint rolled on them.
I then used Unity Stamps and embossed the stamped images.
Add some bling from Wild Orchid Flowers and Really Reasonable Ribbon-
and VIOLA!  You have a Mixed Media Tag!!!!

Gelli plate Valentines

I started by making about 10 different backgrounds with my gelli plate and a handful of Americana Acrylic paints.

I also used the leftover paint on the roller on some die cut tags and hearts.

I have a stash of ribbon, lace, pearl trim, and flowers thanks to Really Reasonable Ribbon and Wild Orchid flowers!!

You can see my DecoArt stencil coming thru on this first card.

Wish you could see the sparkle on this adorable troll card!! The background was sealed with DecoArt glitter decoupage!
This last card is a pocket card.  That way the 11 year old girl that gets this can use the tag for a bookmark. .

 I'm entering the following challenges:
Really Reasonable Ribbon: #157 Heart theme with ribbon or trim
Word Art Wednesday: anything goes week 268 & 269

My Heart is Yours!

Love is in the air!
February - Cupids - Sweethearts
Just brings a smile to my face!

The card below was quick-but makes an awesome statement.
Features some cut outs from my Cricut machine, some sheer ribbon from Joann's, a flower from Wild Orchid Flowers, stamped sentiment from Unity Stamps and a new DP.

My confession?
I hoard Wild Orchid Flowers.
I can only bring myself to add one or two here and there.
But as you can see from this card-one is all it takes sometimes!!

I'm entering the February challenge at
Craft Hoarders Anonymous.  You'll find tons of Valentine inspiration there!  Gloria Stengel has made a beautiful Valentine Canvas for her project-very lovely!

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll be sharing more Valentine's in the days to come.

Valentines Card with Tim Holtz tag inspiration

I am making Valentine's Cards like crazy!

This design follows Tim Holtz tag instructions this month. I made a card instead of a tag.
Used a vintage collage image from Altered Pages. Some designer paper from stash.

I like how it turned out!

Love Birds @ Unity Stamp Co

I wanted to play in the Unity Challenge this month.
I just received a huge package from them!!  They have some wonderful sales going on.
You should check them out.

They have a color scheme to go by or a sketch.  I did the color challenge.
I hand cut the heart and colored them with gelatos.  I used the Love Birds Unity stamped.  Stamped the tag with versa mark and then embossed with cherry cobbler.  Used Gathered twigs to color the tag and then went around the edges with walnut stain.

The two birds and small heart were colored with Prima pencils.
