Happy 18th birthday card-no stamping

Turning 18 is a big deal!  I wanted a special card to give.
Her mother requested some words of wisdom as well.

I ran the white card base thru an embossing folder (I swiped some grey ink on the top portion first)
Then I cut the HAPPY die 3 times and glued them together.  The layering began. I love how it turned out! 

My words of wisdom on the inside were: Put God first and everything will work out.

This fun snowman is popular 2 years in a row!  These are my coworkers.  We had a big meal, then we got to painting!!  They did a great job!!

Quilted Christmas Wall hanging

 I know you mostly see me posting cards or paintings, but I got the itch to do some quilting!  Not a full sized one! I don't have the patience, but a one yard wall hanging is more my style. 

 I found this vintage frame for my grandchildren's picture. It belonged to Grandmother. Makes it extra special.

Country Christmas Card

I love this truck stamp for a Christmas card!

I started with a grey and white gelli printed background.  Then stamped my truck and snowflakes that were heat embossed with grey.  I did some shading on the truck with a grey marker. The only pop of color is the trees and wreath. I'm loving the snowy look!!

Unity Christmas Wishes

I love the techniques I used on the card. The outcome is so soft and beautiful!

I wanted to join the challenge at Unity which was using multiple shades of grey.  That was my jumping board.  I did several backgrounds using my gelli plate and white and black acrylic paint.

Then I used Unity Stamps to create the scene.  Snowflakes were spaced out and embossed with crystal effects.  They really shine in person!  My Unity lady was embossed in silver.  I colored her with markers smearing the ink out so I was able to use just a small amount and "hint" at the color of her clothing. 

I stamped the Christmas wish on vellum and finished my card.

Fall Birthday Wishes using Unity Stamps

Fall is my favorite season to paint, make cards-do anything creative because I LOVE the color palette!! This card just came together in no time.  

I stamped the leaves with Unity Kit of the Month leaves-if you look closely, the leaves have a heart in the middle.  Colored them with colored pencil, fussy cut them to arrange on top of the card base. 

I had some spare flowers from another project that I glued on top. Attached tiny flat back pearls in the centers.  

Added a touch of ribbon and viola!  Done.

Accentuate Handwritten Poem with Paint and markers

I started by painting the canvas like a wooden pallet.

Used DecoArt acrylic paints.

 Then I used DecoArt Mod-Podge to attach the poem that I printed out.

Then I added some DecoArt Stencils using Americana acrylic paints.

Then I added white acrylic paint to the areas I would be painting in flowers.  

 Coated the flowers and butterfly with blue acrylic paint. 

 The final touches were done with Markers.  

Viola! The final canvas. It turned out great!!
