Stampin Sisters In Christ-Challenge 153 Use sentiment with no stamped image

I started with MME background paper, added 1/2 page K&Co at top & 1/2 page olive green (run thru embossing folder & distressed) on bottom.  Then layered 1/2 a doily.  I used Psalm 33:1 for my "sentiment".  Then fussy cut the flowers from a piece of K & company -brenda walton paper. Add my Really Reasonable Ribbon & viola'!  Magnificent!  Did distress each layer-except flowers.  I popped them up with dimensional s.

Today is the Day; Sing!

 My new favorite stamp set:  Market Street Stamps: Life is Beautiful.  I've used 3 of the stamps out of this collection:  Today is the Day was stamped on the background with versa mark, the little flower was stamped on the blue background around the edges & of course the beautiful bird with sentiment is the main focus.

I colored the stamps with aqua painter & stampin up markers.  

Ribbon:  brown; Really Reasonable Ribbon, yellow; Stampin up

I have several images from Doodle Pantry because they are so cute!  This was a freebie.  She posts one every Friday.  The ants are so adorable.  I used my new aqua painter to color them.  I added some sparkle glue to the stars-but you can't see it in this photo :-(

It really turned out cute. I'm ready for the next baby shower I go to.

Our scripture this week says  sharing a smile with someone is the beginning of love.

Doesn't our world need a smile? Love? Absolutely!

Shares your smile today & just see what outcome you see.

 Picking fun embellishments for this layout was fun.  I have some Monopoly cards to pull the purple from the bottom right to the top left. Each embellishment came out of my stash. (and I still have a huge box full!)  I love the frame around my hubbies smiling face.  I distressed it & then coated with clear embossing powder & heated. Up close-has a shine on it.

Life Is Beautiful

There are a couple of different techniques on this card.

My new embossing folder-the flower stems from SU on the edge. I used my SU sanding block & then gently rubbed some tea stain distress ink over it. Then I outlined with a black gel pen. Final touch: blued a tiny pearl in the middle.

Second: I diecut the center of my card out with my new spellbinders die from SU. Center my cute geni underneath & viola! 

When you attach your front, add some dimensionals -makes it show up so much better. You really can't see it with my picutre- but in person it really pops.

Mini in a Box-theme Beach

 I painted the box & hotglued small shells around on the "sand".  It helps with the clouds & sand to use a sponge  The top just has a piece of burlap glued down with shells on top.

 The mini is made with 3x3 envelopes using Laura Denison's stack the deck method.

 It fits right inside my small box.  All that I have to do now is add my photos. It's going to hold up to 34 3x3 pics.
