Accentuate Handwritten Poem with Paint and markers

I started by painting the canvas like a wooden pallet.

Used DecoArt acrylic paints.

Then I used DecoArt Mod-Podge to attach the poem that I printed out.

Then I added some DecoArt Stencils using Americana acrylic paints.

Then I added white acrylic paint to the areas I would be painting in flowers.

Coated the flowers and butterfly with blue acrylic paint.

The final touches were done with Markers.

Viola! The final canvas. It turned out great!!

Waterfall Cards

Have you tried making Waterfall cards??  They are SO FUN!
There are so many possibilities.  I especially like using a stamp that's bigger than the small little square. Stamping off-it's perfect. The first stamp set is by Simon Says Stamp. I used Stampin Up markers to do no line stamping. LOVE that technique too!  Hope you enjoy these.

DecoArt your Pumpkins!!

DecoArt sells more than just paint! Although that is awesome!
They sell decoupage  for gluing different types of stuff.
To start my craft pumpkins (from Joann Fabrics) I painted them both white, then I decoupaged a fall napkin that I found at Dollar Tree. Be sure and peel apart the layers-you only need the printed layer. Then rip it in different sizes. I covered the whole smaller pumpkin.
Then painted the stem brown.

I go so busy on the next step-I forgot to take pictures!! I used their antiquing creams in
Brown.  I then finished with their Metallic Lustre's in Rose Gold, Iced Espresso and Orange Flicker. Up close you can see the brilliant shine from this product.

I saw a tutorial on Facebook that showed me how to make my bows.

A little trip to Big Lots completed my tablescape!  A runner and a little bouquet of flowers.
It turned out great! Thanks to DecoArt.

ATC Fun with Unity Stamps

This weeks challenge at nity is to make ATC cards.  The size is 2 1/2  3 1/2.  I used some of the STACKS of gelli plate backgrounds I have stored up!! Actually, they are perfect for this type of thing. I like layers. So that was my beginning point. I picked out which stamps I wanted to use.  My newest FAVORITE Unity stamps is this huge sun! I LOVE it!

This first ATC I used colored pencils to highlight around the sun. Then used some distress ink to finish.  Added the cute sentiment and it was done!

This 2nd ATC is the other side of the sun stamp.  Totally different feel huh? The center of the sun I filled in with glitter.  Cutting the sentiment into individual words allows you to place them wherever you want.

This last one turned out great!!  I stamped it first, but the background was too bold, so I painted white gesso over top and allowed it to dry.  Then stamped again and colored with pencils. I put a coating off glossy accents on the stamp to bring more interest.

Back2School Fun Canvas

Our church participates in Back2School event held every August.
This year we served 250+ children at our church alone.
The children register ahead of time so we can get their shoe sizes.
On the day of the event, they are told Manni's story of why B2S was started, then we have volunteers set up to wash each child’s feet just like Jesus did the night of the Last Supper. They are offered haircuts, a bag of food and before they leavea backpack filled with school supplies, socks and a new pair of shoes.

It's a great way to minister to our community, but in return, we volunteers receive a blessing!!

In an effort to share Jesus even more, our youth and volunteers decorated signs that were all around our walls.  I wanted to share a fun canvas I made using the odd size of 18x24.  My Cricut cut the letters and were mod-podged on the canvas, I painted in some fun little owls to go with the words.

As always, my DecoArt supplied made this project fun and easy!! So don't leave Deco out of the fun things you are doing in your life.

Even had some Snapchat fun!!

DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics as watercolors

Watercolor is what everyone is doing right now.  I only have the cheap set from Walmart. So I got my Decoart Media Fluid Acrylics out and used them like watercolors. The pigment is is so concentrated, you only have to use a tiny bit of paint.
The stamps are from Unity.  The first one I embossed with black.  The 2nd one I used Black Andrionick ink.  I painted them on 8x8 size canvas.   I like the sun the best.

I used Unity Stamps on both canvas.

I used the following colors:
#1 canvas
Yellow Gold Light
Green Gold
Phthalo Green Blue
Primary Cyan

#2 canvas
Titanium white
Ultramarine Blue
Primary cyan
Hansa Yellow Medium
Phthalo  Orange
Carbon black
