Merry Christmas! My favorite challenge from Perfect Sentiments: Vintage Christmas. USE SOMETHING VINTAGE ON YOUR CARD: VINTAGE IMAGE, VINTAGE PATTERNED PAPER, ETC. Your sentiment has to on the front. I've been getting some great vintage images from Nice Crane Designs.
Hello! Happy Wednesday! Our everyday life can get overwhelming-fast! We all wear many hats and are responsible for so many things. We're tugged in many directions. It's easy to forget-we're not in charge! I say-YEAH!! We don't have to handle it by our self. We can let the Master handle it all. 1 Peter 5:7 gives us an encouraging promise: Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. God's shoulders are a lot stronger than mine. I think I'll cast my care on him-how about you?
The image was provided by Priscilla Styles. Love this cat! I made several copies of the image & then fussy cut the cat, the pumpkin & the window so I could pop them up with dimensionals. I colored everything with pencil & aqua painter. Added bakers twine & sentiment. l I'm entering this card in the Progressive Challenge @ CDAC. Image provided by: http://priscillastyles.ning.com.

A friend loves at all times. Proverbs 17:17 Friends comes in all shapes and sizes. My Mom always said I'd be lucky if I had one really true friend in life. I've been so blessed to have many. When I stop and think-do all of them love at all times....the numbers go down! There's one friend I have that loves at all times-Jesus! I hope you know Jesus as your friend and Savior. It means the world to me to know someone has my best interests every day. t My sweet friend is from Nice Crane Designs Vintage Cute Kids I used aqua painter, some markers & pencil to color her. Layering is so important. I covered the edges of the whole box with gesso & then started adding my paper. Flowers were cut with SU Daisy Die & other flower die.
Glitz stamp set was used on the sentiment & bird.
Graphic 45 Ladies Diary & Teresa Collins paper was used. Just gorgeous!

This gorgeous stamp set is from Mark's Finest Papers. The clear cling stamps are very good quality. They stamped very sharp images as you can see. Thanks to my cyber friend Karen L for sending to me! My tag background paper I colored myself. I really like to use the spritz mists to color my own paper. This one I used started as white shimmer paper. After spraying green and golden yellow, I used my brayer to blend them together. Then took water & dropped on top & lightly dabbed with paper towel. I used EK Success corner punch, then back it on black card stock. The cherry blossoms I stamped with black stazon on top of another piece of paper I sprayed with pink mist. To show more depth, I used a white gel pen on the tips of the front flowers & smudged it with my finger. Added a small amount of green marker to the leaves & smudged with my finger.
If you link your card (with sentiment on front) @ our challenge blog Perfect Sentiments you'll be entered to win a prize from our wonderful sponsor:

Happy Wednesday! I hope & pray your week is going well. This week @ Word Art Wednesday our scripture comes from Proverbs 16:3.
Remember: everything we do- we should do as unto the Lord. When we commit our lives and actions to the Lord-our hearts will follow. Our light shines as we stay determined to please God & not men. Our scripture this week tell us it is so.

Mojo Monday #257-The layers are the key. I started with a sentiment circle from Nice Crane Designs. I colored in my partridge with pencils, sponged Tim Holtz distress ink (berry & brown) and then taped on top of green designer paper.
I used 2 Christmas designer papers left over from last year. Added strips of matching green, beige & black in the middle. I had a beige snowflake. I sponged the same distress inks on it, embossed with SU Iridescent Ice & added to the corners. Tied a knot in some Raffia & glued it on.
