Magical Forest wit DecoArt Stencil

Celebrated my day off by painting!
I stenciled this angel on the canvas first (I suggest doing it last!) I changed my plans on how I was going to paint the background. Ended up painting right overtop of the stenciled image. I had used texture paste, so after I finished painting the canvas, I laid my stencil back on top and painted it.
To do the magical background, I followed Cinnamon Cooney's tutorial. If you haven't watched her before-you are in for a treat!!

I hope this may inspire you to create a little magic!!

I used all DecoArt paints.

Texture, stamping, washi tape=Special Card!

I so love having a sketch to start me off on making a card. Check out Mojo Monday for the sketch.
I end up using my stash to fit the design.
The brown background paper was run through Big Shot with an embossing folder. Then I rubbed gold distress paint on stop of the design-that's what you see (similar to little crosses)
I've had that designer paper forever and glad to be able to use it. I punched the circle and stamped the little bird and inked the edges.  You can't see the washi tape, but the top one says praise! I love it and used is as the background for the small sentiments I stamped and fussy cut.
I'm always needing "thinking of you" cards.

This will go into my stack-ready to send.

Baby Shower Design with DecoArt and Cricuit

After painting this 16x20 canvas a soft pink, I cut a stencil with the baby's name (Emory) in a couple of different fonts and then stenciled her name on the pink background.  I drew the tree with burnt umber paint. At the shower all the guests put their thumb prints on the tree with two different colored inks. Super cute idea!!!

The beautiful momma to be is holding the 4 8x10 canvases I painted for her Owl themed baby room.  I stenciled two backgrounds with zigzags. I printed and cut the saying and made the owls with my cricut.  You can't see it, but all four had some Americana Pearlized paint on top for shimmer and shine!!   Loved how they turned out!

The paints used are from Americana.

Hope you'll be encouraged to make some baby shower gifts yourself!

DIY Design Studio Valentine X5

DIY Design Studio has some adorable digital Valentine Art. Now that I have my new Cricut, it will cut around each image!  I love that!

I have decorated each card with items from my stash!
It's amazing how much "stuff" we collect over the years!

I stamped on each envelope. It adds a nice touch and I think the person receiving the card gets a little excited as soon as they see the envelope.
