Paper and Such Challenge

I got a new stamp set this past weekend & am crazy about it!  This challenge allowed me to use any stamp I wanted.  Here is the challenge:

I used K&Company designer paper, 3 brads in the corners of the cross & took the lacy ribbon & made a flower by folding it (saw that technique at the Stampin Up Convention & love it)  I distressed the edges & used gold embossing powder on the cross & the words.

Laura's Denison's new Fall Mini Album

She's my inspiration & go to girl for mini albums.  You gals have to check her out!  She's fabulous.  I'm addicted to Mini Albums because of her. Great gifts. Great to sale. Great to leave on your coffee table.

Purple & Green Designer Paper Cards

Trying to still use some of my old stash paper.  I bought new paper-that I'm dying to use-BUT I hate being wasteful & never even really used this pack of paper.  It's pretty colors.  So here's my take on it:
New stamp I purchased @ Hobby Lobby today: Stampabilities 50% off!
Layered SU designer paper cutout of the flower & added a cordouroy button. Found some gold rick-rack trim to jazz up the sentiment.

Simple-but I like it.  SU flowers that needed a home.  I've always loved the Celebrate SU set.

Delicate lil flower with a pearl in the center.

Sketch #238 "Big Day"

My Neice's wedding. Wanted to scrap the parents, grandparents & great-grandparents.  Wished I would have had room to journal a little, but I just couldn't fit it in!

I love making my own flowers.  This layout is one with K&Company paper. I love the antique look.

Wanted tassels for my bottom embellishment, so I cut them out, distressed the edges & then decided to add some embossing powder to the top edges.

I'm still loving the peek-a-boo corners.  I also used chipboard-coated it with gold embossing powder. It was alot of fun to create!

Cards Galore 2

Fall is here!  Wanted to make some card to reflect the beautiful colors our Lord provides during this season.  Chocolate Chip has become one of my favorite colors.  It goes with so many other colors.  Been tring to figure out what to do with all my scraps???  Do you have a millon like me?  I took out one of my scrap boxes & went to town!  Most everything you see here had already been cut-embossed-stamped.  I'm in love with distressing -so I did distress alot of it while working on them.

This stampin up stamp set is one of my favorites.  I used colored pencils & blender to fill it in.

Doesn't this antique lace make this card?  I so love it!

Extremely simple

I distressed a pale yellow ribbon on this one to match the distress look.

I had a small scrap of Tim Holtz paper that I added to this one.  I forgot to mention the chocolate chip paper I embossed with the swiss dot from stampin up.

Love, love, love vintage buttons!  Founds a little store uptown Rocky Mount that has them in jars for a nickle a piece!

Cards Galore!

I've played with my cricut and stamps today.

Been wanting to try quill work. See below.

My angel stamp is my favorite. Used colored pencils and blender to color her in.

Needed a masculine card to send  a college student. Thought I'd use fall colors.

I used a dimensional to pop up the butterfly.

Stamped on velum and attached it to the top of the card. Really nice.

Found some composition books on sale & decided to make some journals.  Below is the inside cover and I made a pocket for a tag.

Get Picky Sketch #12

The top photo is my neice waiting for the perfect moment to walk down the stairs. I've seen other people do the peek-a-boo technique and I've been wanting to try it.  I love the lace!  The flowers are handmade and then spritzed.

New Card & Layout

I love my new paper that I ordered.  Was so inspired by sketch 237 I did a new card-HUGS and a new layout-ADORABLE.    Isn't my nephew the cutest thing?  His picture was taken so many times when you said "Logan" he'd just face the person & smile!

New Baby Mini Album

Took me awhile to finish this mini.  There are more pages than my previous mini's.  There are so many special moments to document in a babies life. I have pages marked for birth info, grandparents, bath time, first smile.  It was so enjoyable.  Especially knowing I have a grandbaby on the way!
This cover has sweet babies feet, handmade flowers & pearls.
I was inspired by Laura Denison-Following The Paper Trail.  This is the napkin fold technique.

Clean Craft Room! Yeah!

Took me 6 hours of crawling, bending, digging, rearranging....but it's done. I hauled out only one bag of trash (I thought it would be more?), gave away one small bag of stuff & rearranged & labeled what was left.

What did I end up with? I can't find anything!! LOL

Will take me a few days to be able to lay my fingers on the items I want to use immediately.  That's OK. My husband is so proud of me.  Isn't that what we live for? LOL

I wanted a clean surface for the new mini album I'm creating.  A Baby Girl themed mini. Because....I'm going to be a granny in January!  Laura Denison's napkin fold design is my inspiration.  I've got the pages all assembled & attached, the front cover is done.
Working on the photo tags now...will post pics when done.

Will take at least a week cause I'm leaving today for a weekend trip to Kure Beach.  Taking my sketch pad & colored pencils with me AND my camera.  Will get lots of idea's & pictures to make new creations with.

LOVE Stack Card

Was inspired to do this as a challenge @ Bird is The Word blog.
This is picture of all 3 layers stacked. Notice the top left flower-it's covering the brad underneath that's attaching the 1st & 2nd layer. The small flower in bottom right is attaching the 2nd & 3rd layer.

This beautiful picture was stamped on a piece of vellum using mahogany distress ink.  Used pearl yellow paint to add the dots surrounding the cutout.
The paper is from K&Co.  The flower was handmade with a pearl in the center.

Hope Cards

Sometimes we need a card for someone really sick or going thru a difficult time and we just don't have the perfect card. I tried to keep that in mind with the cards I did today.

The flowers on each card is a new technique I learned @ Stampin Up Convention last month.  The butterfly was cut from Stampin Up die.  I glued 3 small pearls in the middle. I love it!

The paper already had the cute scallop design at the bottom.   I used dimensional dots to pop the middle up.

Fluid Art with DecoArt Interference Paint
