Vintage Valentine

Vintage Love....
it's easy to do with Valentine Collage sheets from Altered Pages.

I started with a tan piece of cardstock and ran it thru my Big Shot with an embossing folder. That's the texture you see.

After I printed and cut my vintage Valentine, I layered it on a piece of white cardstock and a bigger piece of red cardstock.

To doll it up a bit, I added the heart trim and a red bow.
It's so adorable!

My inspiration was from the Papercrafting Challenge Magazine Monday #86.  It featured a big red heart and lots of vintage valentine images.  I had to participate!!

Dimensional Valentine's hanger

Check out my new valentine!

I saw a you tube video by JustaFew and knew I had to try it.
As usual-I didn't have what she used-but used my cricut to cut my 4 1/2 inch hearts.

Entering Really Reasonable Challenge #87 Valentine's Day/Love/Ribbon
The lovely vintage lady was printed from The Graphic Fairy.  You can get FREE images of all types. I fussy cut her and went around the edges (using my valuable tool-my finger!) with Rose Fresco paint.
Look at that dimension!!! LOVE IT!

Mixed Media Valentine Pocket with card

Our Sweethearts are special and close to our hearts. I wanted to do something extra special for mine.

Instead of a plain envelope for a special valentine's card-I made a pocket.

Decorated it with lace and trim from my stash. I edged the flowers with snow writer to give that soft luscious -vintage look.  I love it!
I made a pocket on the front to slide a gift card in!!  He'll love that!

Here's my card that's tucked inside.  Cute huh?  Love the little key.

I'm entering challenges:

Really Reasonable Ribbon #87

Simon Says Emboss it I embossed the key with words stamp with black embossing powder

The Artistic Stamper Love is in the Air -I stamped the Happy Valentine's Day on the back of the pocket as well as stamped the picture on the card.

Love is in the Air-Emboss It!

Valentine's Day is right around the corner.  I made this tag to go onto a gift bag.

I wanted to use a large stamp I had.  Choose a designer paper that is neutral.  I stamped all over a 12x12 page with versa mark and then heat embossed the image with red embossing powder.

Then I cut a size to fit a card, a couple of tag sizes.  You can choose what you want to use it for-even a layout-it's your choice.

The sentiment I simply typed up on my computer and printed and matted on black card stock.
I hand drew a heart out of some old cardboard I took out of a frame.  Using my gelatos, I scribbled the color on it, used my finger to smudge until it was well blended.  I did ink the edges with walnut distress stain.

Are you making something special for your loved ones??  If you need supplies-check out Robyn's store Outlaw Women Scrapbook Emporium.  All inventory is 20-25% less than retail!!

Paper Artsy & Mojo Monday Valentine's Card

I'm in LOVE Darcy's stamp set EDY01.  I stamped the hearts with Fresco Spanish Mulberry and Rose paint and then fussy cut them.  Using the fresco paint on their stamps is a dream~
Even the sentiment was done the same way. Turns out crisp and clean.

The lady is from their Vintage set ID07EZ.  I stamped her on acrylic paint paper in stazon black ink. Then I did a wash in the rose paint on her face and the spanhish mulberry around the edges.
The paints matched the pattern paper perfectly.
The hearts were added with Stampin Up dimensionals.

I followed the sketch for Mojo Monday 327 challenge.
I'm also adding it to the challenge on Paper Artsy by Clare Lloyd.

I hope you'll stop by both blogs and see what else is going on.  They are two of my favorites!

Have a great day!

Valentines with Nice Crane

Look at this beautiful Valentine's Pouch.
There's card with candy stuck in there!!
Sweets for my sweet!
I was inspired by Ravens and Writing Desks. She even has a tutorial video.
I thought it was such a cute idea. I made 2 at a time.  You start with a paper bag.
Then you have pockets to put your valentine's in. Below is a valentine with twine around it and a bag of M and M's.

Here's a handmade pockets with 2 tags inside.
A card with holes to insert a lolly pop.  All images are Nice Crane Designs.

Twine & Washi Tape Valentine

I'm on a Valentine Card roll!
Wanted to incorporate a couple of challenges for this one.
MFP Speedy TV challenge is to use twine.
Simon Says Stamp challenge is to use washi tape.
I have never used washi tape.  I bought some a while back and never have used it. I quite like how this turned out.  Three different colors came in the pack I bought.  I lined a piece of white cardstock with each color and used it behind my tag.

Here's the inside of my card.  I spritzed some pink shimmer mist on cream card stock.  I think it's romantic looking.
