Vintage Angel

Background paper is my new Graphic 45.  My frame was cut with my cricut cartridge: Lacy Labels. My Angel was colored with pencils. A little highlighting with a marker.  I've used my distressing block to rough up the edges of everything.  Sponged some Tim Holtz antique ink.
Closeup of my flower & lace embellishment.  Vintage lace in my stash & Wild Orchid flowers.
My finished card.

Multi Media Mini Album Cover

I use school glue stick to glue my 5x6 chipboard to my paper.  This paper came from a kit I bought on my cruise.  I still like to add a lot of my own spin.
I roll my brayer over top to make sure the glue is evenly distributed & make sure it's sticking.; Then cut each corner off because you are going to wrap the chipboard just like a present.
I had used my digital image on regular white cardstock.  I printed two & masked the surfboards. I stamped my waves & colored them with my aqua painter.  Then I combined water to some acrylic blue paint & sponged the sky masking them with hand cut clouds.  I wanted a different blue than my marker.
I stamped my boards & sand using black stazon.  I colored them using multi layers of colored pencils: light orange, dark orange, yellow, white, blue.  I usually finish them off scrubbing them with the white one -it really helps combine the colors. Then I go back with the darkest color & redefine the outline.
To give them more Pizzaz I embossed the surfboards with clear embossing powder, the star fish with gold embossing powder.
I attached my surfboards with small zots.  My Sentiment is a clear sticker that I attached to a piece of blue cardstock & popped up with dimensionals.
Here's my finished project!  It's the front cover of my new mini album I'm working on!

PSC47 Anything Goes!

Are you ready to CREATE??  Anything goes this week @ The Perfect Sentiment!   This is always a favorite.  The only requirement is a sentiment has to be on the front of your creation.

Our sponsor this week is BUGABOO STAMPS

Bugaboo Digi StampsBE SURE AND CHECK THEM OUT FOR SOME WONDERFUL DIGITAL OR RUBBER STAMPS.

I'm using a digi from our wonderful sponsor this week:  Bugaboo Digi Stamps. This is Ruby-she sassy isn't she?  I've colored her with my aqua painter & ink -added a little colored pencil. You can't tell it in the photo, but the 40 was coated in Stampin Up glitter gel.

For the bottom strip I punched lots of flowers and glued them onto black cardstock & then ran it thru my Big Shot with the Swiss dots embossing folder.  I just LOVE that technique.  It mashes all the layers into one.  I did a little doodling with a white gel pen.
I did a new technique that I found on Splitcoaststampers Click Here called Center Step Card.  You definitely want to decorate the inside because you'll see it when it's propped up.  I used a Martha Stewart cupcake punch.
COOL HUH?  I like it!
I also hope you'll check out all the talented ladies on our design team.  They are listed on my right sidebar and you can also find them @ the Perfect Sentiment Challenge

Thanks for stopping by.  Would love your input.  I've got to work a little more on getting a cleaner cut for this technique, but it's something different & eye-catching that wasn't too difficult.

WAW 43: Prosper In All Things

Our verse this week is 3 John 1:2.   This is a prayer I wish on all people.  We could wish for no more: that our health & soul prospers.
I immediately thought of a wedding.  When two people are starting their lives as one-I certainly would pray this prayer for them.
I cut the image with my cricut and then sponged around it to create the center. (I've saved the distressed image to use later!)  I outlined it with Stampin Up sparkle gel.  The background paper is SU.
I cut the FREE Word Art with scissors & added the pearl embellishments.

The Flowers are Wild Orchid.

Please go to our home site Word Art Wednesday to see our designers creations as well as our sponsor information.  This week: Fred She Said
I hope you'll join us this week.
Have a blessed week!!

Easy Mini Album Tutorial

Outside of book: Start with 5 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock. Score @ 5 & 6 inches.  Use corner rounder on each corner.
Deocrate your cover: cut 4 3/4 x 5 1/8. Attach your decorated cover permatac glue glider.

Build your binder/Accordian style.
 Cut 5 1/8 x 7 inches. Score at every inch (1-2-3-4-5-6)
Create a valley fold. Fold & crease with bone folder.

Build your pages.  cut cardstock 4 5/8 x 5 1/8. Score at 1 inch on long side.
You'll corner round your pages. Use red sticky tape to attach your pages to your folds. May need to rerun your bone folder over the creases.  Line the accordian page & using your crop-a-dile cut a hold in each end & attach a brad.

Now we build our post it note holder.  Cut a piece of cardstock @ 5x4. You'll score both short sides & one long side @ 1/2 inch & 1 inch.  You'll cut away 3 of the little boxes.  Add a tap opening at the top with a one inch punch.   Use red sticky tape to fold the box together & attach to the inside cover of your book.
When I saw The Teresa Collins Notations -mini album popped into my mind! I also added some stamped images.   I ended up punching the binder end so I could run some ribbon thru. On my finished one I tied the ribbon in a bow. Liked it a lot better.  I really love how it turned out. Holds pictures & notes.

Cinderella goes to the ball

I started my canvas by applying a thin coat of gesso so I could water wash the colors. I used a lot of water and painted blue on the top and green on the bottom.
Next, I wanted clouds. I cut one out from DP-it was the wrong color.  I grabbed my handy sponge.
I started sponging blue ink around the cut out & layered -staggered & repeated.
I used a grass stamp & stamped some on the bottom of the canvas.
I had bought some punch out sheets from my Stampin Up Demonstrator last year.  She didn't remember the name.  I punched everything out & started layering them on my table to get an idea of how I wanted to lay them on the canvas.
I distressed the carriage and horses so they'd show up better.  Aren't the trees cute? They were punched out too.
All the pieces were applied to the canvas with mod podge.
At the very end I sprinkled glitter onto the mod podge.
I love how it turned out.  My 8 month old Granddaughter is going to love it when she gets a little older.

Furbabies Playtime

Harley & Snickers Stand Off

Snickers starts moving in

They play-Snickers nips Harley trying to start something.

Snickers circles Harley....

2 minutes later-It's over. That's about all the play time they do.     It's funny-they'd rather just sleep!

Snickers would rather eat carrots anytime instead of food.  LOVE MY FURBABIES!!

PSC46: Missing Wings

Our challenge is a missing you sentiment with wings! Fun-right?
I'm featuring a cute image from our sponsor this week.
Pattie's Creation.

My sentiment is from Stampin Up. Three little words...
I wanted a close up shot of the wings showing the liquid glitter I used to high light my wings.
I used my aqua painter to color my image.  I just love the softness it brings.  I made a little flower spray with my Wild Orchid flowers and leaf. The beautiful pink ribbon is from SU.

I hope you'll join us and play along this week.

WAW 42-Shout for JOY!

Every morning when I wake up I am blessed. (smiling)
God, in his infinite mercy promises eternal happiness to those who accept him as their Savior and Lord. I am amazed  that everyone doesn't choose to know God  personally. My heart swells with happiness, my eyes tear up, my lips sing at knowing He has delivered me!  thank you Lord!

Wondering what it is?  It's called a Pyramid Digi Stamp.  It's just one of the unique things you'll find @ our sponsors site @ Nice Crane Designs
I colored the image with colored pencils, then layered the 8 layers with dimensionals.
Have you shouted for joy lately?

Be sure & check out my design teams creations this week.  You can find them listed on my left sidebar.  You can win a prize from our sponsor Nice Crane Designs.  It's easy to enter.  Just create your own art using our FREE Word Art or an encouraging sentiment and link it to Word Art Wednesday
