Happy Birthday with Paper Artsy stamps/masking

Image
I was inspired by the current challenge at Paper Artsy-masking.  I've created this card using a different kind of masking. I brayed paint onto my gelli plate and this pushed the Paper Artsy flower stamps into the paint. Then I pulled the print. Wow!! The stamp pulled the paint off creating a negative space. I hightlighted the stamps with watercolor pencils. Did some additional stamping with Paper Artsy vine, then stamped The Happy Birthday sentiment from Stampin Up.  Added 3 die cut flowers on top with dimensional s to finish the card. I LOVE how it turned out!! I hope this inspires you!!!

Mixed Media Valentine's Tags

Image
Valentine's is my favorite holiday to make art!  That's right-I said art! These adorable tags are dimensional and I've used several techniques. The tag itself has Americana Paint rolled on them. I then used Unity Stamps and embossed the stamped images. Add some bling from Wild Orchid Flowers and Really Reasonable Ribbon- and VIOLA!  You have a Mixed Media Tag!!!!

I'm entering Craft Stamper Magazine challenge: Take it Make It February Challenge: Anything goes

Gelli plate Valentines

Image
I started by making about 10 different backgrounds with my gelli plate and a handful of Americana Acrylic paints.  I also used the leftover paint on the roller on some die cut tags and hearts. I have a stash of ribbon, lace, pearl trim, and flowers thanks to Really Reasonable Ribbon and Wild Orchid flowers!! You can see my DecoArt stencil coming thru on this first card.
Wish you could see the sparkle on this adorable troll card!! The background was sealed with DecoArt glitter decoupage!  This last card is a pocket card.  That way the 11 year old girl that gets this can use the tag for a bookmark. .

 I'm entering the following challenges:
Really Reasonable Ribbon: #157 Heart theme with ribbon or trim
Word Art Wednesday: anything goes week 268 & 269
Mixed media Monthly challenge #33 Sweet Inspirations
