Cutter File Creations by Retta

I've just discovered cutter files.  Are you wondering what they are?
My great friend Retta designs them.

The two I'm featuring here have so many layers!
You can cut one or all of them.
You can make them small or large before you cut them.

I'm no pro with this and I only have a Cricut Cutter.  I'm using Make The Cut program.  But she tells me there are numerous machines and programs out there that can be used.

Here is a Mother's Day card file she designed.  There are like 7 layers!
My favorite is the doily one.  I've cut that and used on numerous other projects.
You can get this cutter file for only $2.99!  Isn't that an amazing deal?

Her etsy shop Royal Inspirations

*****************************************************************************
On this layout, I used the doily and the love you sentiment:

On this small booklet I cut the doily in half.

There are so many ways to use this one file.  I'm sure your imagination won't be limited by me!
Go WILD!

The card and booklet are available in my Etsy store:  KC Inspired

If your here from Party Time Tuesday-WELCOME!!  I hope you've been inspired to create your own projects with cutter files.

By the Sea Canvas

Happy Friday!!
Karen here with another amazing background!
This is a 9x14 flat canvas.
Did you know you can punch holes in it with your Croc-A-dile?
Isn't that COOL!

I painted 2 coats of white gesso on the canvas first.  Then I used the dabber distress inks.  Blue, green and polished nickel.  It's my favorite way to build the backgrounds.  I hit it on the canvas pretty hard while squeezing-you get a big SPLAT!  Then give it some spritz of water & hold the canvas up and let it spread.  I got my heat tool out and start blowing the ink around.  You may need to splat some more until you get the look you want.

I printed this gorgeous drawing (by Retta) and colored it with colored pencils-spray it with a sealer before gluing it onto your canvas.  I adhered it with mat medium.  I used gelatos in blue and black to go around the edges.

I love how this turned out.  It will make someone with a beach theme very happy!

Blue Tile Stencil by Retta

Here's a mixed media canvas I've done.
After laying designer paper, embossed papers and paint, I stamped the butterfly (Stampin Up)  on tissue paper and added those.  Then I used RETTA's stencil Blue Tile and some modeling paste.

Find it HERE
All her stencils are in Outlaw Women Scrapbook Emporium store.
Check them out!!

After adding my printed verse, I outlined it with green and black gelatos.  I used some of the green over the stenciled areas with a makeup sponge.
I love how it turned out!  The size is 16x20 canvas.  Really nice!
Have a lovely Saturday!! Get your craft on!!

I'm entering Word Art Wednesday challenge.

Chellenge using WOOD

I was totally inspired by the challenge going on at Eclectic Paperie.
The challenge is to use wood.
I have a wooden toilet paper holder.  Have had it for years!  Bought from ABC Distributors.  Has 4 wooden panels for the front that you can change out depending on the season of the year.
Do you have one?  Know what I'm talking about?

Been thinking for a long time I needed to update at least one panel.  This challenge was the perfect incentive!

I covered it in black gesso first.
White it was drying I stamped colored and cut out some images from Inspired Stamps.
I used modeling paste and some stencils, some pigment inks and some stamps.  I couldn't get the pigment ink to dry-so I embossed using sparkle embossing powder.
This stencil above is made by my friend Retta.  Called carpet of flowers.  The one below is one I had in my stash.  As you can see I used a white pen to go around my images.  Really made them POP!

It's so tall-I couldn't get one picture of it!! Had to divide into two.  I LOVE how it turned out!!

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think!

See the doily on top of the vintage girl block?  That was cut from an SVG file from my friend Retta.  You can purchase the SVG file-which makes a mother's day card-has 7 layers-HERE
I dearly love how it turned out.

Faith in Beautiful Things

I saw a video by Gabrielle Pollacco that so totally inspired me. I had to make one myself!

Find her You tube video HERE
The Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge was to use a stamp.  The one I chose was from a Stampin Up set Faith in Nature.

Keep your faith in beautiful things;
in the
sun when it is hidden, in the spring
when it is gone.

Mojo Monday 340 : God Bless You

Here's my card for this weeks Mojo Monday challenge

I used a stencil from Retta to do the background.

The pistachio ink from Momento matched my cardstock and seam binding
perfectly!

Used my Stampin Up punches for the circles and flower.

Fusion Challenge: Hello Card

I've been on a roll with challenges this week!!

I've been wanting to participate in the Fusion challenges and haven't had a chance.
Until now!

Here's my entry for this weeks Fusion Card Challenge.

I had a lot of fun doing this one.  I stenciled the bottom piece using a Gerber Daisy Stencil by Retta and pistachio ink from Momento.

The flowers I punched with a Stampin Up punch.  Ran the oval on the top thru the swiss embossing folder from Stampin Up.

I cut the hello sentiment with my MTC program.  Turned out really well.

Jump over to the Fusion Card Challenge and participate yourself.

Friends with Flair/Thinking of You

I love the month of the kit stamps.
I haven't had a chance to use this one yet.
It's an adorable dress on a hanger.

I stamped it on a piece of watercolor paper.  Using Tim Holtz distress inks, I did a watercolor technique on it.

I love the vintage feel of it.

Grandbaby Photo mat display

This week at Paper Artsy, Michelle Webb did a photo book.

I've had some photo mats in my stash for a long time that I had bought at Goodwill.
I refurbished 3 different frame mats using Michelle's technique.
The ABC stencil I used is Stencils by Retta FOUND HERE

I attached them with a one inch navy blue strip of cardstock. When I put the backs onto the frame mats I sandwiched the cardstock strip. It's not coming apart!

It stands up and is currently sitting on my mantel!!
Thanks Michelle for the inspiration.

Mother Goose Children's Baby Album

This Graphic 45 designer paper is so stinking cute!

I followed their April Challenge guidelines the best I could.
(I thought they were a little hard to follow)
I love how it turned out!  The colors is this paper line are basic and make a bold statement.
I did some fussy cutting with the adorable images found in the paper line.
The solid black photo mats really tie the album together.
Below on the pocket page I used one of Retta's stencils.  Make A Wish. I thought it added a nice touch.

If your interested in purchasing the album-head over to my Etsy Shop.
Thanks for stopping by!!
