Upcycle Wooden Toilet Paper Holder
I purchased this Toilet Paper holder 30+ years ago! It was all white with panels that fit inside the front door. I decided it was time for an upcycle!
I followed Sandy McTier's YouTube video. See below. I used DecoArt paints.
The outside of the wood was slick, so I applied Americana Multi Surface paint in Coffee color. I applied it with a one inch brush in an X, allowed to dry and did a 2nd coat.
Inside panel prior to repainting.
I had to paint 3 coats of Gesso on it prior to painting to cover the design up.
This was what it looked like when I started.
This is after 2 coats of Coffee Bean
DecoArt Premiums Paint colors used: Burnt Umber, Quinacridone Violet, Dioxazine Purple, Carbon Black, Prussian Blue, Sap Green, Titanium White.
I hope this inspires you to upcycle something in your home!!
