Life is a Blessing!

I'm excited to share this new technique I've tried using vellum.
I stamped my Unity Image with versa mark and embossed black.

I painted the flower with DecoArt Metallic Lustre.  They did FABULOUS on the vellum!!
Once you use Metallic Lustre, you rub over it with a soft cloth and it makes it shiny!

American Faith using DecoArt

I LOVE 12x24 canvas!!

It give a unique perspective to your subject.

I used Traditions Acrylic Paints by DecoArt.

When you layer them, you can get a great wood grain. The paint is so creamy that it covers the canvas so well.  Check out the multiple colors HERE DECO ART

Stacked Pumpkins Class

Fall is in the air!  The painters were excited to paint this great 16x20 Social Art-networking Design!  The did a fabulous job!  They learned how to use their paintbrushes to create thin lines as well as thick ones.  Dry-brushing technique.  The #2 round brush is perfect for the vines surrounding the bottom of the pumpkins.

We had some first timers and some seasoned painters. Everyone had a great time!

Stamp your Encouragement

One of the new stamps was this butterfly. The kit came with the solid image and the detailed image.

I love to create my backgrounds with stencils.  The flower is a stencil from DecoArt called Succulent.
I just held it where I wanted it and sponged distress inks.
I have the new Tim Holtz Tonic Stamp Platform.  I love how you can stamp your image twice! You get a clear image every time!!
I stamped the solid butterfly with Mustard distress ink.  Lined the detailed butterfly up with stamped overtop with Barn Door red.

I used some colored cardstock to mat my sentiment and the card base. Really made the colors pop!!!

I'm entering Craft Stamper challenge-Anything Goes

The Mixed Media Challenge #39-Photo Inspiration:  I was inspired by the flowers.  The end of summer is here. The colors make me happy!!

Dress it up with Ribbon and Flowers!

Happy Wednesday!

Have been working on my stash of cards. I like to keep some nice ones to grab in a hurry. I can add the sentiment once I know what I need it for.
When I'm doing this, I also pull out stamps that I don't use on a regular basis.
Anytime I'm making cards, I love to include ribbon and flowers! Really dresses the card up and gives you a WOW factor!
Today's card is no exception!

I've used a Unity Stamp -colored with Stampin UP markers.
The paper pad is Teresa Collins Travel. Using scissors I roughed the edges of the background pages and then inked them up with vintage photo.
I glue all the components down until I get to the ribbon and flowers.  Then I use my hot glue gun.

Painting all Ages with DecoArt

Sunday's Paint Class

I had 3 kids in my Sunday School class that remembered their memory verse the first quarter of 2017.  As a reward, they got to paint for free!

We had two designs since we had boys and girls.  To my surprise, I have girl softball players!!  Had to do some quick freehand-but it worked out!

Everyone had a great time. The littlest one-encouraged the others to ad-lib on their crosses!  I love these young talented kids! (the adults did good too!!)
